Cet arbuste dont le nom grec Euonymus
signifie"le bien nommé" donne les fruits toxiques pour le
bétail. Ses variétés multiples ornent le Parc
Montsouris avec ces teintes vert foncée allant jusqu'à
jaune doré. Une tige très particulière permet de
les reconnaître sans ambiguïté. Le Fusain - Euonymus
Fortunei côtoie l'Emerald & Gold. Parfois le Fusain
Président Gautier s'y introduit, et mine de rien, juste à
leurs coté une autre variété le Duc d'Anjou
s'y mêle. Comme s'il n'y avait pas assez le Fusain -
latifolius albomarginatus, et le plus exotique do tous - l'Euonymus
Japonicus apparaît. Une richesse prend l'allure d'une certaine
incertitude. |

Trmielina zwana Prezydentem Gautier, a o krok dalej Książe Anjou.
Szczyt oryginalności jest zbratanie się Trzmieliny płaskolistnej
latifolius albomarginatus z finezyjną Euonymus Japonicus.

Euonymus the formal name given to Spindle, dense, low
growing and evergreen shrub, comes from two Greek words that say
"suitably named". Spindle's fruits were known for their toxicity
killing the roaming cattle. Its leaves, intensely green, with all
shades of white, yellow and golden, ornate the slopes of Montsouris
Park. Spindle - Euonymus Fortunei is frequently accompanied by its
close cousin - Fortunei Emerald & Gold. Two other varieties:
President Gautier and Prince of Anjou add to the natural richness of
the shrub. Resembling to them and yet disturbingly different are two
others: flat leafed Euonymus latifolius albomarginatus and an exotic
Euonymus Japonicus. Perturbing variety nearing certain uncertainty. |
